TERMS & CONDITIONS

We will do our best to ensure good dental health and provide excellent service. To this end your treatment is provided privately, that is, not within the health service.

Our promise of service

We are committed to providing effective treatment with excellent aesthetic results.

Our team

The dentist that you have chosen will usually care for you; however should your own dentist be on holiday, attending post graduate training or ill, we will do our best to arrange car for you with another dentist a the Franklin House Dental Practice should the need arise.

The Franklin House Dental Practice staff comprise one principal dentist, two associate dentists, one hygienist and our nurses. We usually have two receptionists on duty and additional staff include a practice manager and a practice coordinator. A number of the support staff are qualified dental radiographers and our hygienist is qualified in a range of other therapies.

Availability of appointments

The Franklin House Dental Practice is open Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30 am and 5.00 pm.

Emergency care

We ask that, should you need an emergency appointment with one of dentists, you ‘phone our receptionists as early as possible; we have appointments reserved for emergencies throughout the day which are allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Occasionally, you may be asked to see one of the other dentists in the Practice if your own dentist is unavailable. In the event of a dental emergency outside our usual opening times, you should contact the Dentaline receptionists on 01634 819191 who operate the emergency out of hours service.

Fees

We base our fee structure on the amount of time that your dentist or hygienist spends with you with any necessary fees for laboratory work being an addition. Our hourly rate is charged from £185. Dental fees are exempt VAT. We ask that fees are settled at the time the treatment is provided. We do not operate an account system.

Treatment quotations

We will provide you with a printed quotation for every course of treatment once it has been agreed between your dentist and yourself. We will inform you of any changes to this quote that may occur during your treatment and discuss any options with you. A quote for dental treatment is valid for 90 days from the date of examination and treatment planning, after which time we reserve the right to revise any fee quoted.

Late cancellation of or failure to attend appointments

We reserve the right to charge the full fee for a missed or forgotten appointment and for any appointment cancelled with insufficient time to allow us to allocate that appointment to another patient.

Patient debts

Our policy is to pursue debts aged beyond six weeks through a debt collection agency. Debts referred to the agency are surcharged 15% + VAT, being the agency’s fee for collection of the debt.
